This 2 piece ensemble displays the remaining hankies from Anna D’s treasure trove of goodies. Over 150 of them are included here showcasing the collection of colored and patterned pieces not used in the All of Ellie’s Hankies garment. I wanted a 1960s vibe since the term “hanky panky”, at least to me, is associated with that era even though it was first recorded in 1841. The flowers were originally sourced for the Garden of Greed coat but proved too delicate. The jacket was once a top my Mom ordered to wear for my son’s wedding to which the response was “oh NO, you will not!” I cut it open and added the trims. The supporting bodice and skirt are leftover gold fabrics from the 2019 Angel Auction. The pink overlay is a child’s shirt I bought at the dollar store 20 years ago because I liked the lace. 2 vintage 1970s patterns were used for construction guidance, both a size 14, which is now a size 6 in the “modern” era.
